We wish to introduce you to the Takanini Business Association. This is an initiative which was established by local business and commercial property owners and managers in partnership with local Police in 2017 in order to support our local businesses with all matters relating to business development and growth, security, networking, collective communication with local authorities and establish a unique culture within the Takanini business community.

This is an initiative which was established by local business and commercial property owners and managers in partnership with local Police in 2017 in order to support our local businesses with all matters relating to business development and growth, security, networking, collective communication with local authorities and establish a unique culture within the Takanini business community.Takanini Business Association is currently privately funded by businesses and we rely on the support of all local businesses in order to work collectively and provide adequate support and a diverse range of initiatives to gain the greatest level of growth and success for the businesses and wider Takanini community.
It is intended for Takanini Business Association to grow and generate sufficient membership that we can begin the application process to become registered with Auckland Council as a Business Improvement District (BID), which will result in the association becoming funded by the Council via a targeted rate levy on all business and property owners within a specified geographical area of Takanini.
This would not only give us increased funds to provide greater initiatives for our businesses, such as collective security cameras and patrols, marketing and events, but it also gives us vital statistics around spending and growth in our catchment. The more we learn about our customers and community, the more we can cater to meet everyone’s needs.
We all want our businesses, staff and customers to be safe and feel safe and Takanini Business Association will collectively create opportunities to promote Takanini as inviting business destination for the community to shop, work, eat, play and engage.
